Why Dr.
I started cutting at eighteen in a Sydney salon that ran on speed and trend cycles. Three years in, a client cried at the chair because she did not recognise the woman in the mirror. I had given her exactly what she asked for, and exactly what did not suit her.
That was the day I changed how I work. I started saying no to colours that would not grow out well. I started actually listening before I picked up the brush. I trained in Melbourne with a balayage specialist who taught me restraint, not just technique.
Now it is Yarraville, one chair, no double-bookings. We sit, we talk, then we paint.
